RS Components is making its mobile website in the UK easier to navigate as the demands of its B2B mobile user base grow. The site now offers enhanced functionality and a better user experience, making it easier to find and buy the products anytime, anywhere. This improvement is another step in the company’s ongoing strategy to build a £1bn eCommerce business at its heart.
RS has seen an increasing number of its customers going mobile over the past two years with the use of its mobile website growing by 30% per annum. With mobile phones now accounting for almost a fifth of global web usage* and mobile retail sales expected to increase significantly in the future, the company has utilised leading industry expertise to enhance its mobile site to meet this demand.
Key enhancements to the mobile website ensure that users can now register and amend their personal details, view their order history and re-order, track and trace their orders, and view data sheets and customer reviews.
In addition, the site now includes improved filtering of search results, guest checkout, and the ability to pay by credit card. Access to the company’s Live Chat service, which saves customers time and money by offering them help when browsing and making a purchase, will be made available in the coming months.
Keith Reville, Global Marketing Director at Electrocomponents, said: “We are committed to improving the online experience for our customers and making it easier for them to do business with us. Our aim is to create an instinctive preference for our brand, and with our mobile offer becoming an increasingly important channel for customers, these enhancements are a vital component to achieving this.”
