BittWare, a supplier of Altera-based FPGA COTS boards is reinforcing its sales channel partners to satisfy increased product demand overseas. It has added A.R. Bayer DSP Systeme to focus on hardware, algorithms and tools for digital signal processing; it will now sell and support BittWare products in Germany, Benelux, Switzerland, and other central European countries including Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland. In Brazil, Bitware has signed Macnica DHW, a semiconductor distribution company that will provide support in South America. Both distributors will be selling BittWare’s complete product line of Altera-based FPGA COTS hardware, value-add products for FPGAs, development tools, and systems and solutions, as well as providing support for those products to their respective customers.

“BittWare is seeing continued high demand globally for validated, deployable COTS hardware based on Altera’s Stratix FPGAs,” stated Darren Taylor, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Marketing at BittWare. “The addition of new distribution channels in South America and central Europe are in direct response to customer demand in these markets, demand that is best served by local FPGA experienced sales channels.”

“Our line card provides hardware and software solutions for high-end digital signal processing applications,” said Andreas R. Bayer, Managing Director of A.R. Bayer DSP Systeme. “BittWare’s line of Altera FPGA-based COTS hardware is the perfect addition to our product portfolio, giving our customers access to extremely high-performance signal processing solutions for their military/aerospace, financial, networking, and biomedical applications.”

“Macnica DHW is a franchised distributor for Altera FPGAs, a leading Design Services company and the Official Training Centre for Altera FPGA technology in Brazil,” said Fabio Petrassem de Sousa, President of Macnica DHW. “We consider BittWare to be the industry leader for high-performance Altera FPGA-based COTS hardware and supporting products; they are a natural addition to our portfolio and product offering.”
