Independent component distributor America II Electronics has entered into an authorised distribution agreement with Altech, a US-based supplier of European components and devices used in industrial control, instrumentation and automation applications.
“America II is excited about the opportunity to work with Altech,” said Brian Ellison, President of America II Electronics. “Our goal is to continue building a robust line card so we can deliver the best solutions to our customers. This partnership allows us to expand our offerings and provide additional options for our customers in the US, Europe and Asia.”
Under the agreement, America II will have global distribution rights, with access to Altech’s product portfolio including terminal blocks, circuit breakers, fuses, enclosures and power supplies.
“Our partnership with America II presents an incredible opportunity,” said Dan Schuster, Vice President at Altech Corporation. “America II is a successful global distributor. They have significant sales coverage around the world and can help us extend the Altech brand into new markets. We’re seeking better worldwide distribution and believe America II can help us achieve that.”
In the past 18 months America II has been moving towards what it describes as a blended distribution model aligning some franchised distribution agreements alongside its long-standing independent distribution model.
With four billion parts in stock and available to sell at their St. Petersburg facility, America II Electronics has one of the largest inventories in the industry. It specialises in hard-to-find and allocated products, and it stocks long lead-time semiconductors from the top manufacturers.
