Rutronik has been named “Fastest Growing European Distributor 2013” for FCI after it racked up the largest sales growth in Europe for the connector maker.

In the last three years Rutronik has reported growth rates reaching double-digit percentages. This makes the second time in sequence that Rutronik has received the award after receiving the same recognition in 2011. The award was not presented in 2012.
“It is a great asset to have a distributor that actively drives business forward. Rutronik has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance over recent years, and the forecast for this current year looks superb as well”, explained Tobias Bischoff, Distribution Key Account Manager EMEA at FCI Electronics.
Rutronik has seen particularly strong growth in Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Poland, and Switzerland.
Both companies have been cooperating for more than 15 years, and this partnership was elevated in 2009 to a new, pan-European level.
Rutronik sees major growth potential in particular in the field of board-to-board and wire-to-board plug connectors, which currently account for the largest share of sales. The distributor aims to exploit this potential even more extensively in the future. FCI’s focus also currently lies in the expansion of the cable assemblies product area, an area that is also of great interest to Rutronik.
“The versatile solutions from FCI enable us to offer our customers the ideal product for any application”, said Steffen Engel, Product Sales Manager Connectors & Cables at Rutronik. “The ongoing growth of the product range, for example in terminal blocks, and excellent support both in terms of customer service and when on site with the customer make FCI a key partner for Rutronik.”
