Premier Farnell achieves 88% score in the 2007 BiTC CR Index, an increase of over 25% in just two years

Premier Farnell plc the leading multi-channel, high service distributor supporting millions of engineers and purchasing professionals globally, has demonstrated its continued commitment to a sustainable future by participating in the 2007 Business in the Community (BiTC) Corporate Responsibility Index. The company achieved Silver Status with an overall mark of 88 percent, an increase of over 25 percent in just two years.

The CR Index assesses the extent to which responsible practices are integrated with corporate strategy and are embedded throughout the organisation. It provides a benchmark for companies to evaluate their management practices in four key areas of corporate responsibility: community, environment, marketplace and workplace and performance in a range of environmental and social impact areas.
