Mouser Electronics, Inc. today congratulates Michael Thalhammer, who won a trip from Mouser to the Texas Motor Speedway IndyCar event after entering a trade show contest earlier this year at the Embedded World show in Nuremburg, Germany.
Prior to the Saturday race, Michael Thalhammer, along with his guest Sonja Handwerk, was given a VIP tour of Mouser’s Texas headquarters and was shown around all the departments that work together with the state-of-the-art warehouse to provide design engineers with the newest products and unsurpassed customer service.
Thalhammer and Handwerk then joined Mouser to cheer on champion IndyCar driver Tony Kanaan as he proudly took the wheel of the No. 11 Mouser Electronics/GEICO/KV Racing Technology Chevrolet/Firestone IndyCar at the Firestone 550 . They watched Kanaan move up the ranks into third place, unfortunately losing his position late in the race after a blocking incident caused damage to the right front wing of the No. 11 car.
“It was a pleasure hosting Michael and Sonja during their visit to Texas,” states Mark Burr-Lonnon, Vice President of EMEA and APAC Business. “Though we didn’t see Tony (Kanaan) claim the position he hoped for, it was a thrill to have loyal customers from Germany right by our side, cheering the whole time.”
“I would like to thank Mouser for giving me the opportunity to visit Texas Motor Speedway and attend the Firestone 550 weekend,” says Thalhammer. “My first IndyCar race was one I will never forget. I couldn’t have asked for a more exciting opportunity.”
As a hardware developer at Dräxlmaier Group in Germany, Thalhammer is no stranger to innovation and quality, goals that both they and Mouser share.
