One-day workshops on wireless technologies for home, industrial and medical applications, exploring the theme of “Connected World = Wireless World” are to be staged by MSC Gleichmann in cooperation with Panasonic and H&D Wireless. The workshops will take place on June 4 at Manchester United’s Old Trafford ground, where celebrations may be continuing, and on June 5 at Reading’s Madejski Stadium, where the relegation inquest will have begun.

Opening with an overview on Wireless Technologies for Short Range Devices (SRD), the agenda promises expert speakers from MSC, Panasonic and H&D Wireless covering topics including: Classic Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy, Mesh Network Technologies (ZigBee, SNAP, etc.), Wireless M-Bus and WLAN Technology. The event will feature live system and design tool demonstrations and provide hands-on training from the product specialists.

Ewan Robertson, RF/Wireless product line manager at MSC Gleichmann commented, “This event is targeted at engineers and managers to help them find the best solution for their short range wireless applications. Here is a opportunity to meet with the experts and understand the different technologies that are available.”

The workshops run from 9:15am to 5:00pm and cost £65 + VAT, including refreshments and a buffet lunch. Parking is free and delegates will receive a comprehensive data pack. In addition Panasonic is providing a free development kit worth over £120 (either the PAN1720BR or PAN1322) and H&D Wireless will be offering 50% discount vouchers for its development kit (worth up to £85). Finally as an added incentive, especially for football fans, there will be the opportunity for a pitch side visit.
