An exclusive global distribution agreement has been signed by Digi-Key and Global Power Technologies Group (GPTG), a full service, low cost, silicon carbide semiconductor manufacturer for the commercial power market.
“We’re proud to announce an exclusive partnership with Digi-Key as part of our global growth strategy to reach a broader set of customers,” said Michael DiGangi Director of Business Development at Global Power Technologies Group. “Increasing demand for our low cost semiconductors has influenced our decision to align with a highly respected global distributor. Having proven their success with design engineers around the world, Digi-Key is a great fit for our product line.”
GPTG is a full service low cost Silicon Carbide Semiconductor manufacture for the commercial power market. 100MM and 150MM epi-wafers, SiC discrete diodes, SiC discrete MOSFETs, SiC modules and sub-systems for multiple market sectors are just some of the products it produces.
As part of the agreement, GPTG’s product line will be extended to Digi-Key’s global customer base of 550,000 design engineers.
Due to vertical integration, GPTG cost for SiC products will reach silicon price points in the near future.
