A design centre encompassing comprehensive information on development tools supplemented by product details and supporting material has been launched by element14.
It features 360 degree images, videos and downloads along with stock availability and price, manufacturer details and engineer comments. There are links to supporting documentation, technical data sheets and forum posts, helping engineers make the most of their Dev Tools and solve problems as they occur.
element14 undertook customer feedback and research to develop the site where users can search and select functionality by keyword and part number, filtering by manufacturer, core architecture and silicon family. Development tools can be purchased by adding them to a basket on the transactional site.
Quintin Komaromy, Global Head of Strategic Marketing at element14 said: “The new element14 Design Center offers everything a design engineer could ask for, providing the latest development tools and kits with best in class application and product data all in one place. We asked engineers what information they need to bring designs to market quickly and efficiently and the new site offers everything to support each stage of the design process.
“Following the enormous success of the 250,000 strong element14 Community as a site for engineer’s discussion and collaboration the Design Center was a logical move to support our strategic proposition.
“The site already supports embedded technologies from wireless to sensing and IoT, and over time the site will enable more content and greater functionality to support engineers throughout the design process. In addition to the Design Center the market’s largest range of development tools and kits is also available from the element14 transactional sites for same day dispatch to virtually any global location.”
The new site launch follows the recently announced volume price break structure on semiconductor and connector components.
