Astute Electronics has signed a global franchised-distribution agreement with KEC, a supplier of EMC interconnect technology.
Astute are now a distributor and design-in partner for their full range of Mil standard backshells, glands, caps and accessories for a multitude of Hi-Rel applications in aerospace & defence, naval, rail, power distribution, energy, automation and medical.
Interconnect Business Development Manager, Scott Morley, welcomed the agreement,
“It’s a pleasure to represent KEC products and their custom-design capabilities, as each project will have its own challenges. Often the EMC requirements are unique so it’s important to have a supplier who can offer a full design and build service for non-standard products.

In the current situation of shortages and supply-chain challenges, it’s increasingly important to source components produced in the UK.”

KEC’s standard range includes backshells, EMC circular backshells, EMC bulkhead panel fittings, D Type & rectangular backshells, M-12 connectors, Profibus connectors and cables.
Additionally they offer products to accommodate fibre optics and a comprehensive parts matching service to other manufacturers.
