Digi-Key, Freescale Semiconductor and ARM today announced the winners of the “Design With Freedom” product design contest, in conjunction with the electronica conference in Munich. The competition encouraged European design engineers to submit prototype innovations built with one of Freescale’s Freedom line of cost-effective development platforms and Digi-Key’s complimentary Scheme-it online design software.
“Having thousands of engineers engaged in this activity made it difficult to select finalists let alone winners,” said David Sandys, Director, Digi-Key Supplier Marketing. “In the end, it was incredible to see how many entrants effectively leveraged the Scheme-it design tool for PCB design which resulted in some very unique board innovations based on Freescale and ARM technology.”
