Gateway Electronic Components has signed a UK/Ireland distribution agreement with Ferroxcube, the specialist ferrite manufacturer. Gateway will support its extensive UK-based stock profile with local sales, customer service, technical support resource, as well as core gapping and machining services.

The new agreement of the distributor’s strategy to build on its already established ferrite and magnetic lines from TDK, Fair-Rite and Magnetics and which will now be complemented by its investment in over 300 Ferroxcube line items of ferrite cores, bobbins and accessories.

Martin Ford, Managing Director of Gateway Electronic Components, comments “Ferroxcube is a highly significant addition to our linecard and strengthens our appeal to those customers seeking access to most of the serious ferrite brands from one source. Gateway has a growing reputation in the ferrite sector with the help of TDK and Fair-Rite and we see this as the most obvious and natural step in providing our expanding customer base with the resource they need to increase stock availability and reduce their vendor base. Our new dedicated ferrite and magnetics website augments our expertise in this sector.”

The new Ferroxcube product range can be accessed through www.theferritegateway.com – Gateways latest specialist trading platform which gives customers a dedicated portal to its extensive range of ferrite and magnetics components. Customers can view availability of products, purchase online in a currency of their choice, access technical documentation and specification information, use the online material cross-reference facility, and make use of design and application tools in the selection of their product.

Helge Peters, Sales Director Europe, Ferroxcube says “we welcome the team from Gateway into our Ferroxcube family. We are highly aware of the reputation that they have created in the UK and that they share our values for customer care and our passion for the ferrite and magnetics sector. The decision to appoint Gateway was made simpler because we know that our mutual customers will derive significant value from their supply chain, value-add, customer service and technical skillsets.”
