Avnet Electronics Marketing (EM) has tapped Kevin Yapp to be Senior Vice President of Digital Transformation, effective immediately. Yapp (pictured) joins after 12 years at Premier Farnell where most recently he was Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer.

The role is a new one for Avnet and Yapp will be responsible for shaping and advancing Avnet EM’s digital strategy, including the evaluation of all new resources and investments.
He will chair an EM-wide global digital project management organisation and will report directly to Avnet EM Global President Gerry Fay.

Yapp joined Premier Farnell in 2003 and held a number of key posts including including Chief Innovation Officer, Marketing Director Europe and Asia Pacific, Chief Marketing Officer and, most recently, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer.
He graduated from Imperial College in London with a bachelor’s degree in Physics in 1987.
