Amphenol FCI has presented the ‘Fastest Growing European Distributor 2015’ award to Rutronik. The award acknowledges Rutronik’s efforts in achieving the highest percentage turnover increase of all the connector specialist’s pan-European distribution partners.
This is the fourth time in succession that Rutronik has received this award. In 2015, the distributor achieved a double-figure percentage increase in turnover. The biggest growth markets included German, Italy, the United Kingdom, Poland and Switzerland.
“The fact that Rutronik yet again ranks as our highest-turnover distributor shows that this partner has an unusually competent and enthusiastic team and a very dense sales network, and that serves to provide our business with steady, long-term growth,” explains Tobias Bischoff, Distribution Key Account Manager EMEA at Amphenol FCI. This is all the more important in view of the fact that turnover via the distribution industry accounts for over 50% of sales for FCI in Europe.
Rutronik and FCI have been cooperating for over 15 years. Since being taken over by Amphenol in January 2016, FCI now operates under the new name of Amphenol FCI. However, the company will continue to operate independently as an Amphenol division, and will therefore remain a reliable partner for achieving common growth targets.
Rutronik has been supplying the entire FCI product range to the European market since 2009. Key products include wire-to-board and board-to-board connectors, input / output connectors (sub-D, USB, mod-jacks), FFC/FPC plugs as well as power and high-speed connectors. Here, the focus is mainly on the automotive, industrial, lighting, medical, consumer and datacom markets.
“Currently, the greatest demand is for board-to-board and wire-to-board connectors. Especially in the car infotainment area and in lighting applications, Amphenol FCI can offer a large number of innovative products,” points out Danijel Corko, Product Area Manager for connectors and cables at Rutronik.
