Highlights include the C-Grid / SL system as well as new additions to the KK and FFC series connectors

RS Components, the leading distributor of electronic, electro-mechanical and industrial products, today announced it has added a further 2,300 products from Molex to its connectors portfolio. The new introductions expand the number of Molex products available from RS to over 3,500 parts and give customers access to a complete range of interconnection solutions from Molex.

Highlights from the new additions include the introduction of the C-Grid® / SL system. The C-Grid dual-row board-to-board system combines with the SL (Stackable Linear), a modular single-row wire-to-wire and board-to-board system. Together, these products offer the largest number of variations and cabling configurations in the industry.

The popular Molex KK series, developed to meet the challenges of modularisation has been increased with over 250 new additions to this family, giving customers multiple pitch options and allowing thousands of configurations. The RS range of FFC connectors, designed for use in signal and data applications requiring flat flex cable, has doubled in size with more than 150 new products. Further additions include increased Mini-Fit Jr and Micro-fit 3.0 ranges.

The full Molex range is available direct-from-stock in industry-standard production packaging, in flexible volumes so customers can order the quantity they need and avoid unnecessary stock-holding costs. A complete price review has also been carried out to ensure the offer is priced competitively against the market. Customers can achieve larger discounts when ordering higher quantities.

Commenting on the launch, Mark Davies, Distribution Corporate Account Manager at Molex, stated: “Molex is delighted to be working with RS and increasing the choice of Molex parts available to customers. With our focus on the interconnect industry, innovative technology and industry focus, Molex provides solutions that meet the needs of customers around the globe. RS is a perfect fit for Molex, providing customers with high quality service and support that matches the quality of our offer.”

For RS, Paul Webster, Head of Product Management Electronics, said: “Molex is a premier brand for electronics design engineers and buyers looking to develop interconnection solutions for their prototypes. We are excited to be increasing our Molex portfolio and have worked closely with Molex to give our customers more ranges at competitive prices with market-leading service.”
