RS Components (RS) has launched its americas.rsdelivers.com platform to better address key design markets for new board-level electronics products and technologies across the Americas region.

RS will be looking to entice the design communities in the US and other countries in the Americas region including Canada and Mexico. A wide range of leading manufacturers and key suppliers are backing the move, which enables an expanded presence from RS and offers a greater level of design support for engineers.

A key element of the move is to raise the profile of the DesignSpark platform in a region where a significant and growing proportion of members currently reside. DesignSpark is the RS engineering community where product designers can find a huge repository of resources to help them with their designs and project aspirations. Key resources available via DesignSpark include a host of free design tools for PCB layout, 3D modeling and electrical CAD, plus an extensive Product Data Library (PDL) and a huge library of component models.

The launch will further enable new entrants to electronics design, including designers and buyers, by providing easy access to free tools and information available at DesignSpark, as well as delivering fast availability of all the latest board-level electronics products showcased via the community, such as new microcontroller starter kits and a wide range of components for IoT connectivity application development, for example. Importantly, a vast range of products are available in design-in quantities with full-production packaging available for customers looking to quickly ramp up their development and production of innovative electronics solutions.

“The launch of our americas.rsdelivers.com platform clearly shows our commitment to engineers across the Americas, seamlessly bringing together the design tools and products resources of DesignSpark and RS,” said Cameron Ward (pictured), Senior Vice President Global Electronics at RS. “The new site delivers a special focus on providing tools, knowhow and an extensive selection of small design packs, enabling engineers to learn, design and purchase from a single place.”
