Hessian state minister congratulates RS on success in the region
RS Components (RS), the world’s largest high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products and the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), today celebrates its 20th anniversary in Germany with a ceremony at its warehouse in Bad Hersfeld. The event will be attended by customers and suppliers as well as social and political representatives from across Germany.
Dieter Posch, Minister of Economics, Transportation and State Development for Hessian, comments: “The RS site in Bad Hersfeld has helped to make Hessen the most notable area for logistics in Germany. I congratulate RS on its 20th anniversary and wish the company all the best for the future.”
Established in 1991, RS Germany is renowned for its service excellence and breadth and depth of product range. From its warehouse in Bad Hersfeld, RS serves customers in Benelux, Scandinavia, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Switzerland as well as across Germany. Today customers can choose from over 500,000 products, ranging from semiconductors and optoelectronics to power tools and protective clothing, which are despatched on the same day that the orders are received.

The success we have achieved in Germany is significant with revenue in excess of 100m euros in the last financial year. Our Bad Hersfeld operation has been pivotal to our expansion into new markets in Eastern Europe.
