RFMW and North Carolina-based Akoustis Technologies have announced a global distribution agreement. effective July 1, 2016. Akoustis Technologies manufactures bulk acoustic wave (BAW) high band RF filters for mobile wireless and general purpose RF catalogue components.

Initially, RFMW will focus on promoting the DC-14GHz gain blocks targeted to applications such as test & measurement, aerospace & defence, wireless infrastructure, satellite communications, point-to-point radio and multiple uses in ISM.

In addition, the specialist RF distributor will work closely with Akoustis to promote it’s single-crystal BAW filters targeting 4G/LTE mobile wireless, WiFi, wireless infrastructure and aerospace & defence as it matures to production release, targeting the first half of 2017.
