A free Power and Power Management Forum scheduled for October 22 has attracted a top line up of speakers. The topics will be covered in depth including presentations on Power Design Trends, Design Support Tools, Thermal Materials and DC/DC converter specifications. The venue is the Williams F1 Conference Centre at Grove just south of Oxford, and the day will include a chance to visit the Williams F1 Collection which includes cars driven by Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell and Damon Hill.
Delegates can arrive from 8.30am (coffee and pastries provided) and network or visit the associated exhibition alongside the conference hall.
Alastair Boyd, Country Manager for Linear Technology will kick off proceedings just after 10am with a presentation titled Power Design Trends – the Future with Power System Management.
Flavio Sestagalli, from Coilcraft’s Technical Marketing team will then discuss Design Support Tools for Power Management which include a live demonstration.
Ian Loader, Managing Director of Universal Science will examine the Selection of Optimum Performance Thermal Materials in High Power Situations.
Following lunch, the afternoon session is kicked off by Paul Lee, Director Murata Power Solutions who will look at DC/DC Converter Specifications for powering high side switches.
Linear Technology and Arrow Electronics have teamed up to present a Power System Management workshop headed by Gary Church, Arrow’s Field Applications Engineer for Linear Technology. The workshop will cover everything the engineer needs to know about PSM, the benefits and the control methods.
The exhibition will be open all day. Exhibitors who will all have technical experts on hand are Acal BFi, Arrow Electronics, Yokogawa, Linear Technology, Coilcraft, Murata Power Solutions, Mouser Electronics, Tektronix, Outsource Electronics, Serigroup and Provertha.
