America Semiconductor has signed a distribution agreement with Powell Electronics. Under the new agreement, Powell Electronics will provide global sales, design support and fulfillment services for America Semiconductors’ portfolio of high-reliability, high-power standard, fast and super-fast recovery rectifiers, low-power and bridge rectifiers, diacs, IGBT modules, SCRs, Triacs, Shottky and Zener diodes.
America Semiconductor, which sells only through distribution chose Powell for its strong position in supplying high-performance products to such key industries as alternative energy, oil drilling, power grid, welding, HVAC, and transportation. The distributor has locations worldwide including European offices in the Netherlands and the UK. It offers a broad range of value-added services, which minimise procurement costs to help OEMs’ maintain a competitive advantage.
