Rapid Electronics have introduced 31 new lines from Omron, a global leader in relay technology. The products include PCB relays, surface mounting relays, miniature signal relays, power relays and sub-miniature relays.
Omron relays are widely relied upon for their high capacity switching performance characteristics within a number of common applications, such as automotive, household appliances, audio and visual devices, construction, robotics, imaging and communications. Included in the new product ranges are general purpose SPCO power relays in the G2R series. Standard 10A and high capacity 16A types are available, with clearance and creepage distances of 8mm/8m conforming to EN 61810-1, UL508, CSA22.2, SEV, SEMKO.
Also available is the G6K series of surface mounting subminiature relay, with outside-L terminals. Ideal for high-density mounting, these components have a low profile of only 5.2mm and weigh only 0.7g. Conforming to FCC Part 68, the G6K series feature superior high-frequency characteristics at 1 GHz, such as an isolation of 20 dB min between contacts of the same polarity or 30dB min between contacts of a different polarity.
Among the new Omron product releases at Rapid are also subminiature, sensitive SPDT signal switching relays, part of the G6E series offering high sensitivity and fully sealed construction. Their unique moving loop armature reduces size, magnetic interference and contact bounce time.
