Greenliant Systems and Mouser Electronics are extending their North America distribution pact to cover the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region and South America. The agreement covers Greenliant’s ArmourDrive and NANDrive solid state drive (SSD), NAND controller and specialty flash memory. The focus will be on serving embedded systems users.
“Two recent IHS Technology reports forecast the industrial machinery market to grow 6.3 percent to $1.6trn and the industrial electronics chip market to climb 11 percent to $36.4bn in 2014,” said Arthur Kroyan, vice president, business development and marketing, Greenliant Systems. “Working with Mouser, we are extending our global reach to serve the increasing demand from embedded system manufacturers for energy-efficient, high-endurance solid state storage products.”
NANDrive embedded SSDs combine Greenliant’s advanced NAND controller with NAND flash die in a space-saving ball grid array (BGA) package using industry-standard eMMC, PATA and SATA interfaces. mSATA ArmourDrive offers the features and benefits of NANDrive in a removable, small form factor.
Greenliant SSDs operate at full industrial temperatures (-40 to +85 degrees Celsius) and are available with one-bit-per-cell (SLC) or two-bits-per-cell (MLC) NAND, making them well suited for automotive, industrial, medical and networking applications.
“With its portfolio of long-life and reliable data storage solutions, Greenliant meets the needs of demanding applications and provides an extra level of support,” said Kristin Schuetter, vice president, supplier management, Mouser Electronics. “The agreement with Greenliant reinforces Mouser’s commitment to bringing our suppliers’ high-quality products to more customers quickly and efficiently.”
