Embedded Developer, in partnership with Avnet Electronics Marketing, has announced the completion of three new, highly customized component search engines which are an integral part of Avnet’s new LEDs Design Zone. Based on Lighting Developer’s parametric serial search engines and modified to Avnet specifications, the selector tools enable engineers to identify, evaluate, compare and buy the right components for their next solid state lighting application.
Jointly developed with Avnet’s dedicated solid state lighting team, led by George Kelly, Director of Lighting at Avnet Electronics Marketing, the component search engines and the LEDs Design Zone are dedicated to advancing the production of emerging LED technologies by providing LED-specific content to help lighting-focused design engineers choose the right solutions and get to market faster.
Inclusion of Lighting Developer’s signature compare and evaluation engines complement the goals of Avnet’s online engineering resource by providing intuitive parametric search capabilities for the key components of SSL design. The tools also allow comparisons of high brightness LEDs, driver ICs and LED power supplies from 27 suppliers while leading seamlessly to Avnet Express’ online store for price, availability and purchase.
