Farnell has added Hioki, the long-established Japanese manufacturer of electrical measuring instruments to strengthen its test and measurement portfolio. The agreement is exclusive to high service distribution in Europe.

Farnell is initially stocking digital multimeters, clamp meters and electrical installation tools with further products from the Hioki range to be added in the next quarter.

James McGregor, Global Head of Test and Tools for Farnell says: “This is a great addition to our test and measurement range which enables our European customers to purchase Hioki products from a high-service distributor for the first time. Hioki products provide exceptional levels of functional design, anticipating the challenges that design engineers face every day and delivering innovative solutions. Farnell continues to be first-to-market with the latest technologies from leading manufacturers and offers a full range of test and measurement products to support electronic design, test and maintenance.”

Customers also benefit from 24/5 technical support from in-house test and measurement specialists and free access to online resources, data sheets, application notes, videos and webinars.

Hioki products are widely used by electronic design engineers as well as in research, education and manufacturing. The company has accumulated expertise in the field of test and measurement over more than eight decades, has registered hundreds of patents, and houses all facilities from R&D to production in a single location to implement “Kaizen”, the Japanese philosophy of continuous improvement in performance and quality.

Hioki test and measurement products are available for same day despatch from Farnell in EMEA.
