TTI now has Vishay’s customisable high-voltage ceramic disc capacitors in stock. Available in both class 1 and class 2 ceramics, these high-voltage capacitors are symmetric and offer both low inductance and high insulation resistance. They are provided in a moulded epoxy case with electrodes on face sides. Device options include versions with axial leads or screw terminal mountings.

Class 1 products are strontium-based ceramic single-layer capacitors, designed for screw terminal mounting, with a capacitance range of 140pF to 8nF. They feature a low dissipation factor of 0.2% at 1kHz with negligible piezoelectric/electrostrictive effect. Available in rated voltages of 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40kVDC, dielectric strength is 150% of rated voltage, charging current limited to 50mA.

Vishay Class 2 high voltage customisable ceramic DC disc capacitors are available in rated voltages of 15, 20, 30m and 40kVDC.  They have a capacitance range of 100 pF to 10nF, with a capacitance tolerance of – 20% to + 80%. Insulation resistance is a minimum 200 000 MOhm or 1000Ohm F at 25 °C.

Applications include CO2 lasers, medical and industrial X-ray equipment, medical accelerator equipment, EMI filtering in wind turbines, spark-quenching capacitors in power switches, high-voltage power supplies, welding equipment, and  many industrial uses.
