Premier Farnell plc (LSE:pfl), is pleased to announce that its CEO Harriet Green has been announced as the winner of the Limelight Award at this year’s Electronics Day Awards, which were held in Munich, Germany yesterday (17 November).

The Limelight Award that Harriet received focussed on the impact she made over the past 12 months on leveraging green manufacturing technologies to increase competitiveness within the business.

Electronics Day Awards are presented directly to the individuals that make a difference in the electronics industry, resulting from peer nomination and voting.

Commenting on the award Harriet said: “I am delighted to receive this award and what makes it even more special is the fact it has been voted for by my peers. At Premier Farnell we believe that our strategic approach to sustainability, ensuring that there is measurable value in all of our actions, positions us to be a market leader in this area.”

In the last 12 months Premier Farnell has launched sustainable packaging in Europe and achieved Platinum level in the Business in the Community Corporate Responsibility Index. Additionally, Premier Farnell has this year achieved membership of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index in Europe and been named as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies in the 5th annual list released by the Ethisphere Institute.
