TTI has strengthened its senior management team by tabbing Phil Gallagher to leave Avnet and join the e-mech, passive, interconnect and discrete distributor as a Corporate Officer and Senior Vice President.
He started his new job yesterday (April 4) and will join CEO Paul Andrews’ executive staff where he will develop long-term strategies for the company. Gallagher also holds the functional title of President, Sales and Marketing, Americas, and in this capacity will report to Mike Morton, Global President of Sales and Marketing.
Gallagher moves to TTI after a 32-year stint at Avnet. His career path there was concentrated in sales, marketing and strategy. He was Vice President of Global Business Development for three years before his promotion to President Electronics Marketing Americas. Most recently Gallagher served as President of Avnet Technology Solutions.
He began his career with Avnet in sales account management in the Philadelphia area and rose through sales leadership positions on both coasts before moving to Avnet’s corporate headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.
Mike Morton commented on the recent appointment, “A number of us at TTI have known Phil for many years and have interacted with him through industry events. He is one of the executives we have followed through his career and knew his leadership style, people skills and cultural values would fit perfectly with that of TTI.”
