Future Electronics has extended its distribution agreement with Amphenol ICC to cover the whole of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

The distributor already markets Amphenol ICC’s entire product range in North America and the Asia-Pacific region.

European customers will now gain access to pre-sales advice, technical support, sales, and supply chain service for all Amphenol ICC products. Future Electronics’ broad European customer base in sectors such as industrial, lighting, electric vehicle charging and electronics manufacturing services (EMS) is expected to generate strong demand for popular Amphenol ICC products. These include:

  • Minitek Pwr connector system for board-to-board and wire-to-board connections
  • Zhaga-compliant connectors for interior lighting applications
  • Single-pair Ethernet IP20 connectors and ix Industrial IP20 connectors for industrial networking applications

Markus Trautz, Sales Manager for EMEA Distribution at Amphenol ICC, said: ‘Future Electronics’ unique approach to sales management and supply-chain operation have underpinned an excellent performance in North America, marked by continual long-term growth in customer numbers and revenue. We expect that the same approach applied to Future Electronics’ industrial and lighting customer base in EMEA will result in similar expansion in this economically important region.’

Customers buying Amphenol ICC’s connectors, cables and high-speed I/O solutions from Future Electronics in EMEA will be offered the industry’s biggest available-to-buy inventory from Future’s Leipzig distribution centre, with next-day delivery to almost everywhere in the region.

Jose Lok, Senior Director of Marketing (EMEA) at Future Electronics, said: ‘The addition of Amphenol ICC to Future Electronics’ EMEA line card reinforces our already strong connector product offering, particularly in specialist application areas such as lighting and industrial Ethernet.’

The agreement to appoint Future Electronics as an authorised distributor for Amphenol ICC in the EMEA region is effective immediately. It is backed by supplies of available-to-buy parts for high-demand items at the EMEA Distribution Centre in Leipzig.
