Future Electronics is the winner of Vishay’s 2014 award for best active components distributor in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
Future Electronics came ahead of more than ten other distributors to win the Actives Distributor of the Year award, which reflects the company’s success in supporting and supplying customers for Vishay’s semiconductor products: MOSFETs, power ICs and modules, diodes and rectifiers, and optoelectronics components such as infra-red emitters and receivers.
Vishay gave the award to Future Electronics after completing a rigorous process to score each of its distributors of active components on four criteria: revenue growth, demand creation, quality of field operations, and inventory management. The field operations benchmark rated the distributor’s performance in customer service and technical support, and its collaboration with local and regional Vishay staff. The inventory management score reflected the distributor’s commitment to maintaining ‘available to buy’ stocks of products across Vishay’s portfolio of active (semiconductor-based) products.
Demand creation was another strong suit for Future Electronics to play, since field applications engineers at every one of its 44 branches across the region have the expertise to help customers use Vishay components in successful and effective end product designs. Future Electronics investment in its FAEs’ knowledge will be in evidence again this month as the company runs its annual ‘TechFest’ week of intensive product and technology training at its EMEA headquarters in Egham, near London (UK).
