Farnell element14 will demonstrate an exclusive range of leading edge embedded solutions for designers creating new products and applications, at Embedded World 2013.

Farnell element14 will be joined by technology partners including, Anaren, Cadsoft, Embest, Eurocircuits, Freescale, Microchip, NXP, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments, and Raspberry Pi. Located in Hall 5, Booth 220, the stand will showcase live demonstrations of embedded solutions for ARM based design, wireless connectivity, PIC32 design, embedded devices that are enabling the ‘Internet of Things’ and ecosystem solutions for Raspberry Pi.

Raspberry Pi made its European debut on the Farnell element14 stand at Embedded World 2012. To celebrate an extraordinary year for the category defining ARM based microcomputer, Embedded World and Farnell element14 will again welcome some of the key innovators behind Raspberry Pi. Raspberry Pi Co-Founder Pete Lomas, and ecosystem developer and PiFace designer Dr Andrew Robinson will give live product demonstrations.

Mike Powell, Technology Development Manager, Farnell element14 said: “Our commitment to the embedded design community is evident through the best in class solutions and partnerships we will demonstrate at the show. It’s also the perfect opportunity to celebrate the phenomenal success of Raspberry Pi and its fast growing ecosystem of hardware and software solutions.”

Farnell element14 has also partnered with STMicroelectronics to hold a collaborative giveaway of ST’s STM32F4 Discovery Board and jointly designed accessories at the exhibition. The extension of the STM32F4 Discovery Board with new accessories further expands the functionality of this solution by allowing electronic design engineers to evaluate camera, LCD display and Ethernet applications on the STM32F4 microcontroller architecture.

Energy harvesting development kits including examples of temperature change drivers will be demonstrated by Wϋrth Elektronik, Energy Micro and Linear Technology.

Visitors will be able to experience element14 Community, the largest online community dedicated to design engineering, the industry’s most comprehensive online knowledge tool for embedded design (the Knode on element14) and Code Exchange – a secure website that allows users to upload, modify and share code for software development. Visitors can also sign up to the Power Circuit, the industry’s first enhanced business rewards programme.

The focus on embedded solutions, technology partnerships and community engagement demonstrates the breadth, quality and global reach of Farnell element14 and its commitment to developers who need complete solutions from concept through production.

Designers interested in attending the Embedded World show can get a free ticket via Farnell element14. Further updates can be found on element14 community. To pre-register for a free STM32F4 discovery kit from the STMicroelectronics booth please visit http://ow.ly/hFTnV.
