Looking to help engineers find and order products faster, Farnell element14 has launched Parts Finder Tool.
It is a free browser tool which enables engineers to search for any part on any website, allowing dynamic bill of material build with parts from multiple sites.
Fully configurable to each engineers’ specific needs, the tool uses intelligent logic to identify the product being researched and automatically shows the Farnell element14 part with stock and price information, without leaving the current web page. This intuitive tool then allows engineers to speed up their design cycle by either directly adding the item to a virtual shopping basket or requesting a quote.
Alan Paterson, Sales and Marketing Director, Farnell element14, said: “We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our customer’s online shopping experience. The Parts Finder Tool is a real innovation as it allows customers’ to find parts without searching. I am really proud of this in house development which will continue to be adaptable based on our customers’ feedback.”
The Parts Finder Tool is really simple and quick to install using IE, Firefox or Chrome and works directly in Google. In the initial phase of a full European launch, the Parts Finder Tool is now available to download from the Farnell element14 website in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Poland and Spain.
