Farnell element14 has announced the exclusive stocking of Amphenol 2.54 Pitch IDC connectors suitable for a wide variety of PCB applications.

Farnell element14 will stock 182 parts, firmly introducing Amphenol as a new brand within its IDC connector profile. It is a very important line and a commonly used connector servicing a high number of customers and used in a multitude of electronic design applications.

The family includes right angle and vertical PCB headers in circuit sizes from six to 50. Also available are cable assemblies in the most popular cable lengths of 150mm, 300mm & 600mm. A latched header version provides secure locking and the sockets and cable assemblies can be purchased with or without strain reliefs.

The significant stock investment allows Farnell element14 to bring the solution to the customer at a reasonable price, eliminating the need for self assembly or third party manufacturing of standard cable interconnects.

The product offers a solution proposition off the shelf with an inventory depth and discounts likely to attract new mid or higher volume business as well as customers requiring small quantities. Widely used in almost all vertical markets, this interconnect solution is commonly found in automotive applications, games machines, home appliances and computing.

Steve Herd, Head of EMCO (Electro-mechanical and Connectors) at Farnell element14, said: “I am delighted that Farnell element14 has extended its stock of Amphenol products in Europe. We are listening to our customers, feedback and adding more solution based products to make the purchasing experience easier on the transactional site. We are also committed to servicing and building our Amphenol customer base and this product range significantly enhances our product proposition.”
