Longer service hours support longer working days for electronic design engineers

element14, a new collaborative community and electronics store created for electronic design engineers, announces that it has extended its store’s service hours for online technical support to 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Service can be initiated by clicking the Live Support button at the homepage on the navigation bar at http://www.us.element-14.com

“Today’s design engineers must work longer hours to meet compressed design cycles,” comments Alisha Mowbray, Senior VP, Innovation Marketing, element14. “Customers can now confer with our team of engineers through element14’s website, anytime Monday through Friday, whether a product or application question occurs to them on the job or at home.”

More than 150,000 top brand electronic products are stocked at the store from such world-class suppliers as Analog Devices, Fluke, Freescale, Microchip, TDK-Lambda and Texas Instruments. Uniquely, the store offers flat rate shipping for $5/per order.

Launched in March 2010, the element14 electronics store is a complement to the site’s engineering community, which in effect serves as another layer of technical support. Tens of thousands of engineers around the world each week visit the community to consult with experts and peers, test and review new technologies and discuss topics such as embedded design and lighting in more than 200 groups.
