The opening day of electronica 2014 was the launch pad for a global distribution agreement between Digi International and Mouser Electronics
The deal means Mouser gets worldwide rights to sell Digi’s complete portfolio of wireless products, including embedded system-on-module and RF radio module solutions, wireless components, XBee gateways, including cellular gateways, RF modems, peripherals, sensors, and Rabbit module and single-board products
“We are delighted to extend our relationship with Mouser to cover markets worldwide,” said Kevin C. Riley, senior vice president of global sales for Digi International. “Mouser’s focus on the rapid introduction of new products and technologies, along with its ongoing commitment to providing the online tools design engineers need, is a highly successful combination that ensures our products will be readily available to customers. This is a beneficial partnership for all stakeholders as demand for M2M and IoT applications and products continues to grow.”
“Digi International’s wireless products are helping drive the growth of the Internet of Things as design engineers incorporate M2M capabilities into products,” said Russell Rasor, vice president of supplier management for Mouser Electronics. “With our focus on the design-in and prototyping stages of the design cycle, we now have a better way to fulfill demand for this technology across the globe with Digi’s innovative products.”
