EBV Elektronik has named Dr Eckart Voskamp as the director of its EBVchips programme.
He will be responsible for the definition, strategic realisation and ongoing development of the EBVchips programme and report directly to Thomas Staudinger, Vice President Vertical Segments EBV Elektronik.
Before moving to EBV, Dr Voskamp worked as the director of the EMEA RF segment at NXP Semiconductor. During an international career spanning more than 20 years, he has held various managerial and strategic positions at leading companies such as ZMD, Infineon and NXP as well as at start-up companies in the USA. Among his first roles was that of IC design engineer at Texas Instruments. Dr Voskamp passed his electrical engineering studies with distinction and his information technology doctorate with magna cum laude.
EBVchips has already seen significant success. Seven original EBVchips have emerged from the programme to date. Voskamp’s appointment signals EBV’s intention to take the programme to the next level.
“Thanks to his strong technical background and his many years of experience, Eckart Voskamp is the ideal person for this position”, comments Thomas Staudinger. “We are convinced that Dr Voskamp will make a crucial contribution to the successful further development of the EBVChips programme and to setting the strategic course for the future.”
