Digi-Key Electronics has expanded its distribution engagement with ARM to include all of Asia.

“ARM DS-5 and Keil MDK are industry-leading software tools for devices utilizing ARM technology,” said René Fabricius, senior manager global distribution at ARM. “The widespread availability of ARM-based evaluation boards and developer tools on the Digi-Key line card, along with Digi-Key’s commitment to servicing our mutual customers worldwide, has driven ARM’s decision to extend our successful distribution partnership.”

In addition to expanding the reach of the partnership, ARM’s new Keil MDK Version 5.20 is now available through Digi-Key.

Keil MDK is the most comprehensive software development solution for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers. It includes the µVision IDE, C/C++ compiler, debugger, Software Component management, and the CMSIS framework. The new MDK-Plus Edition includes a set of essential middleware components for rapid application development.

“The relationship we have with ARM goes back a long time and we are very pleased to take this final step in rounding out the successful partnership between the two companies,” said David Stein, VP, Global Semiconductor at Digi-Key. “Now customers anywhere in the world have the ability to access ARM’s broad range of embedded software development tools for their products and designs.”
