Last month Texas Instruments (TI) announced changes to its authorised distributor network, with a new strategy aimed at establishing a closer, more direct relationship with its customers, writes Joe Bush, Editor in Chief of Electronic Specifier.
TDK has recognised Digi-Key Electronics Europe with their European Distribution Award 2018 in Gold in the high-service distribution category. This was Digi-Key’s fifth consecutive award from TDK, and Digi-Key attained the highest score in the distributor performance assessment.
TE Connectivity (TE) has named Digi-Key Electronics as its “2018 High Service Global Distributor of the Year” award. The award was presented to Digi-Key during TE’s global summit which was held in San Diego, CA.
Digi-Key will be showing product and technology to help engineers and designers with their projects at embedded world 2019 in Nuremberg (February 26-28).

Construction of Digi-Key’s new $300m facility in Thief River Falls will begin next month. The four-story product distribution centre will provide an additional 2.2 million square feet of usable space to the company’s existing Thief River Falls facilities, and will occupy an overall footprint of 1 million square feet.
