Cannon Technologies has announced what it describes as “a landmark distribution agreement” with Polyrack Tech-Group, a German manufacturer of subracks, cases and packaging solutions for electronic equipment. The deal allows Cannon Technologies to exclusively supply Polyrack’s product range to customers across the UK and Ireland.
“We are delighted to be working more closely with Polyrack, a company that shares our ethos of pioneering design and manufacturing excellence,’ commented Cannon Technologies’ managing director, Matthew Goulding. ‘This exciting strategic partnership will allow us to offer our customers a complete electronic packaging solution and both companies will benefit from enhanced market penetration and sales. I am particularly looking forward to seeing our products used in a variety of new environments and further increasing our presence in mainland Europe.”
Polyrack produces both standard and customised electronic packaging including subracks, cases, system desktop and rack-mount products, microcomputer packaging, industrial PC applications, PC panel systems, thermoplastic injection moulded components and plug-in-modules. Its products are used in the communications, broadcast, security and defence, transportation, utilities and medical sectors, as well as test and measurement environments. The owner-managed company has 330 employees.
Amongst Cannon Technologies’ innovations are the T4 Data Centre Solutions range and its Free Form Aisle Cocooning system, which recently received the 2013 European Technology Innovation Leadership Award in Racks and Cabinets from Frost & Sullivan.
Ulrich Rapp, international sales manager at Polyrack Tech-Group, responded, “Cannon Technologies’ dominance in the data centre, telecommunications and enterprise networking sectors perfectly complements our own enviable reputation in the field of electronic packaging. By joining forces we are now able to present a complete solution, which enables us to serve the market in the UK and Ireland even more efficiently.”
