Binder has responded to increasing customer demand by supplying cut lengths of the same high quality cable as is used in the production of its own moulded connector/cable combinations. It will enable customers to use the same PUR and PVC cables for terminating Binder’s extensive range of field-attachable connectors as are used on the pre-terminated over-moulded cables. The cable is to be supplied for Binder’s sub-miniature, miniature and automation connectors. The initiative targets users working with drives, controls, sensors, automation equipment, industrial instrumentation and medical and security equipment. They are supplied with a wide variety of cores and cross sections to suit many applications and are boxed in 100m lengths. Both shielded and unshielded cables are UL approved and are available with 3, 4 and 5 cores in either black PUR or grey PVC. Shielded cables are also supplied in non-UL black PUR with 5, 6 and 8 cores. The PUR cable has a resistance of 60Ω/km and an operating temperature range of -50°C to +80°C and the PVC version -20°C to +105°C.
