Avnet Silica has signed an agreement to add the products and technologies of SiTime to its portfolio of silicon timing products in EMEA.
The distribution deal extends a previous agreement between SiTime and Avnet in the US and Asia forming a global relationship.
SiTime offers MEMS-based precision timing solutions that target a total timing market expected to teach $10 billion by 2024.
SiTime solutions are used by 15,000 customers in 250 applications, with over 2 billion units shipped globally. The SiTime product offering includes a wide portfolio of devices such as oscillators, clock generators and resonators.
The SiTime devices are highly programmable solutions that enable customers to differentiate their products with higher performance, smaller size, lower power and better reliability.
In addition, the company’s technology delivers industry-leading dynamic performance in harsh environments that have high shock, vibration, or rapid changes in temperature. Such environments are routinely encountered in industrial, automotive or aerospace applications.
