Avnet Memec, Europe’s leading technical distributor, today announced a one off free seminar and exhibition focused on Wireless and supporting technologies. Avnet Memec has teamed up with its key Wireless and Low Energy partners to offer a technical seminar covering all spectrums of Wireless technology.

The seminar, which takes place at The Imperial War Museum, Duxford on November 3rd, will offer a full day of technical presentations from some of the world’s leading Wireless technology suppliers. Subjects covered throughout the day include, Bluetooth Version 3.0 and BTLe, WiFi including WiFi direct, Wireless aptX audio codecs, Made for iPhone, GPS Sirf Star IV and more. Announcing the seminar date, Chris Withers, product manager for Avnet Memec commented, “Wireless technology is rapidly becoming a key enabler in many different markets and applications and the different technologies and standards that this encompasses can be mind blowing. By bringing all the suppliers together under one roof we are giving the delegates an opportunity to develop their design skills, view demonstrations and meet the technology experts.” Alongside the seminar there will be an exhibition space where delegates will be able to see firsthand some of the latest technologies demonstrated and meet direct with the manufacturers. There will also be opportunities to meet with Avnet Memec’s other key “Non Wireless” partners who will be offering demonstrations on lowest power programmable logic solutions, programmable SOC integrating a Cortex M3 core, the most energy efficient Cortex M3 solutions, lithium battery and display technologies (including Touch Screen) and power-line communications.
