Avnet Embedded, a business group of Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA, is pleased to announce a new pan-European agreement as an extension of its UK distribution contract with Printrex, a worldwide leader in printers/plotters. Effective immediately, Avnet Embedded will be able to provide Printrex products to a larger customer base across Europe.
Printrex produces rugged, high quality printers/plotters serving operators working in harsh environments. The printers are used in a wide variety of applications such as industrial, scientific, medical, kiosk and transportation. Due to their rugged reliability, the Printrex printers are frequently utilised in the oil & gas industry for printing hard copies of survey data at drilling sites.

Our success in the UK, in collaboration with Printrex has driven us to expand throughout Europe, bringing printing solutions to a much wider audience”, says Colin Coote, product marketing manager for printers at Avnet Embedded. “Avnet Embedded has closed major contracts with the in-vehicle Printrex 812 printer, supplying over 4,000 units into fire trucks across the UK. We are especially looking forward to the release of two exciting new colour printer plotters from Printrex, designed for the Oil & Gas market.”
