Avnet has completed the acquisition of MSC Gleichmann Group. MSC will now operate as a business group of Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA. MSC Vertriebs GmbH and Gleichmann & Co. Electronics GmbH and its subsidiaries will now go to market as MSC Technologies, an Avnet Company.
Manfred Schwarztrauber (pictured), president, MSC Technologies, said, “We are the first choice for embedded computing and display solutions. MSC Technologies’ customers will benefit from improved levels of solutions in our core competencies and from the expansion of our product portfolio. By optimising the sales structure, we will further improve close customer relationships.”
MSC Technologies focuses strongly on the fast-growing markets for intelligent embedded computing and display solutions. Through its distribution business unit, MSC Technologies also offers innovative wireless, storage and lighting products.
The company will make its debut under the Avnet banner at Embedded World 2014 in Nuremberg.
