Anglia has enhanced Anglia Live, its e-commerce website. It now enables easier access to free samples, faster searches and improved keyword searching.
Customers with an Anglia Live credit account are now able to request free samples to support design evaluations and initial prototype builds directly from the site.
Anglia has offered comprehensive access to free samples and evaluation kits for some time, but until now this service has been offered through a separate portal.
Now, free samples are fully integrated with Anglia Live allowing customers to search stock and order samples from the same site.
David Pearson, Technical Director at Anglia, said, “Obtaining samples of a range of devices for evaluation on the bench in the context of a project is a key part of the design process. Anglia fully recognises that and our aim is to make access to free samples and development tools as quick and simple as possible.”
He continued, “Anglia Live helps designers in their selection by prioritising results around parts which are profiled and recommended for new designs. Where devices have been discontinued by their original manufacturer or are subject to change notifications, these are clearly flagged as not recommended for new designs or removed from the site altogether.”
Other upgrades include extended coverage of industry standard part numbers included in the keyword search, allowing customers to cross reference more easily.
The company has also harnessed best available technologies to improve the speed of response of the site, and especially to improve the search speed.
Anglia Live supports design engineers and purchasing managers at every stage as a project moves from design to volume production.
Its features include a comprehensive parametric search engine covering all active supplier part numbers, including lines not held in stock, and cross-references over two million industry standard part numbers.
