MSC Gleichmann is running the “Re-surge” campaign for Lattice Semiconductor, offering the ECP3 Versa Development Kit for the remarkably low price of $99. The promotion, which is running until 30 May 2013, also includes a free license to Lattice’s award-winning Diamond Design Software for use with the Versa Evaluation Board. Additionally, as part of the promotion, a fully featured, first-year license for the Diamond software is available for a further $99, along with five IP Suites each priced at $99 instead of the usual $995. These suites include: Video & Display, PCI Express, Ethernet, and Digital Signal Processing.
The LatticeECP3 family is the third generation high value FPGA from Lattice Semiconductor, which offers the industry’s lowest power consumption and price of any SERDES-capable FPGA device. It offers multi-protocol 3.2G SERDES with XAUI jitter compliance, DDR3 memory interfaces, powerful DSP capabilities, high density on-chip memory and up to 149K LUTS, all with half the power consumption and half the price of competitive SERDES-capable FPGAs.
MSC Gleichmann’s managing director, Tim Bonnett said, “Anyone considering the ECP3 FPGA family cannot afford to miss this offer from Lattice. The price for the ECP3 development kit with its free evaluation license is amazing but getting the full Diamond design software or any of the IP suites for just $99 each is a real bargain.”
The ECP3 Versa Development Kit contains the Versa Evaluation Board (featuring the LFE3-35EA-8FN484C FPGA device), a USB A to USB B cable (for FPGA programming via a PC), a 12V AC/DC Power Adapter (including international plug adapters) and a QuickSTART guide.
