Luso Electronics Distribution today announced a distribution agreement for the UK and Ireland with Andon Electronics, a leading manufacturer of IC sockets and interconnects for telecommunications, medical, military and aerospace markets.

A highly significant element of the agreement is Luso’s exclusivity for Andon’s range of sockets that are especially designed to work with DC/DC converter products from SynQor. Luso is also the exclusive distributor for SynQor in the UK and Ireland.

This is the fifth distribution agreement for Luso Electronics Distribution since its establishment in May 2011 as a division of Luso Electronics. Luso works with a limited number of complementary franchises for which the company provides expert technical and commercial support.

“These interconnect products from Andon are an excellent addition to our portfolio”, said David Zelkha, managing director of Luso Electronics. “Particularly important for our customers will be the availability of low-profile SynQor DC/DC converter compatible sockets, enabling them to get on with early board production.”

“Luso is a highly specialist and very well focused company”, said John O. Tate, President of Andon Electronics. “We have high expectation of Luso’s capabilities to enable us to better penetrate key industrial markets in the UK and Ireland.”

Other distribution franchises announced by Luso since its inception in 2011, include: SynQor’s DC/DC and AC/DC power supplies, exclusive in the UK and Ireland; Elec & Eltek for magnetic components, including transformers, noise filters and common-mode chokes, across Europe; N2Power’s range of ultra-small high-efficiency AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies, in UK and Ireland; and most recently Veetronix’s highly reliable keyboard and panel-mount switches for various markets, again in the UK and Ireland.
