Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry’s broadest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, and LED innovator/manufacturer Seoul Semiconductor have entered into a global distribution agreement. The agreement includes distribution through Digi-Key of the full range of Seoul Semiconductor’s products, from the smallest DC LED to the innovative and world’s first AC LED, Acriche™.
Seoul Semiconductor is a leading innovator of high-brightness and energy-efficient LEDs. Products stocked by Digi-Key are available for purchase on Digi-Key’s global websites. Additionally, these products are slated to be featured in future print and online catalogs.

New LED cockpit light from Aerco is highly versatile and NVG compatible
Now available in the UK from Aerco is a new, NVG compatible, LED cockpit utility light from Paramount Panels (UK) that combines the functions of a fixed spot or floodlight and portable hand torch and is ideal for use in all types of search and rescue applications and military fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft.
Designed primarily for map reading and general floodlighting without compromising NVG operational flight safety, the self-coiling flexible supply lead is attached securely to the body of the light and the mounting is constructed so that the light may be snapped out of the socket and used as a torch over the length of the lead.
Operating from a 28V DC supply, the lamp weighs only 230g and illumination is achieved by a LED array that is filtered to produce a white, NVIS compatible light output to Mil-Std-3009. A rear-mounted control knob provides ON/OFF control, brightness adjustment and an instant full brightness function.

Sharp becomes Nu Horizons first major European LED, optoelectronics and LCD module franchise

Nu Horizons Electronics has signed a distribution agreement with Sharp Microelectronics Europe for the UK and Nordic territories, effective September 1st. Nu Horizons currently distributes Sharp’s electronic components in North America but this deal marks the distributor’s first major LED, optoelectronics and display module franchise in European markets. Nu Horizons will have rights to distribute Sharp Microelectronics’ lines of optoelectronics, LEDs, laser diodes, CMOS image sensors, power supply devices and RF components in the UK and Nordic region, plus Sharp’s LCD module range in the Nordic region only. In Nordic, Nu Horizons trades as C-88 AS.
