Rapid Electronics has recently introduced a wide range of high quality weatherproof connectors, terminal blocks, enclosures and control stations from leading manufacturer Hylec-APL.

The Hylec range at Rapid includes weatherproof plugs and sockets, such as the Tee range of 3-pole and 5-pole cable connectors, fully protected to IP68, pre-wired to reduce installation time and manufactured to IMQ and NEMKO approval. These connectors are renowned for their durability and weather resistance, and have been used as the connection solution for the lighting system for the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, where high moisture resistance is of key importance. The Tee connectors can be used as in-line or chassis mount configurations, come with keyway protection to prevent incorrect assembly and have working parameters up to 16A/400V.

Also available are weatherproof cable splitters and gel connectors, control stations and industrial enclosures. Rapid can offer controls from Hylec-APL that facilitate emergency stop processes in industrial environments, as well as stop start switches, and buttons that can be operated by foot, palm, key or lever. ABS enclosures , 12 pole kwik snap terminal blocks, distribution and lighting connectors complete the range.
