Habia Hi Flex Cables from Aerco

The Habia HI-FLEX range of super-flexible power cables for armoured vehicles and land systems is now available from Aerco.

Designed specifically to meet the ever-increasing demand for power on advanced fighting vehicles, Habia’s HI-FLEX power cables offer the system designer a choice of increased current capacity or reduced copper size. Habia has also designed a new flame retardant, low smoke and zero halogen version of HI-FLEX, called HI-FLEX ZH, which will find applications where halogen is a health threat in areas such as automotive and mass transport.

Use of advanced ‘Omnigard’ sheathing material in combination with `Roctech’ low friction separator tape and an `S-line’ high stranded conductor gives high degree of flexibility for ease of installation in confined spaces. It also provides increased flex-life for dynamic applications such as remote weapon stations, electric turrets and hybrid electric drive systems.

Habia’s HI-FLEX power cables are able to withstand mechanical shock and vibration, exposure to oils and fluids, extreme environmental conditions, NBC attack and wash-down.

Digi-Key Corporation Signs Global Distribution Deal with Tensility International Corporation

Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry’s broadest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, and Tensility International Corporation announced today the companies have signed an agreement for the worldwide distribution of Tensility cables.

Available for purchase from Digi-Key are Tensility’s 2.5 and 3.5 mm audio cables and power supply output cord cables. These products, slated to be featured in future print and online catalogs, are currently available on Digi-Key’s global websites.

Applications for Tensility cables include, but are not limited to, fiber optics, data transmission, audio/video, networking/computer, telecommunications, medical, automotive, and instrumentation.

Habia Cable appoints Aerco as a UK franchised distributor

Aerco has been appointed as a UK franchised distributor for Habia Cable. Founded in Stockholm in 1941, Habia Cable manufactures an extensive range of high-performance wires and cables serving the RF communications, defence, nuclear, military, aerospace and rail industries.
