Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH and Intersil Corporation, one of the leading manufacturers of high-performance analogue products, are intensifying their cooperation in Europe.
In the course of reorganizing its global distribution network, Intersil will be relying even more on Rutronik, and has strengthened its cooperation with the broadliner in Europe. To manage this already close relationship, Rutronik has recruited new staff to its Power Management and Analog Mixed Signal product marketing teams, who will be working closely with Intersil’s product specialists.
The franchise agreement between the two companies has been running since 2009. Peter Schubert, Intersil Director of Sales Distribution Europe, comments: “Key factors in favour of Rutronik as a distributor include its proven analogue expertise in the areas of Power Management and Analogue Mixed Signal as well as its broad portfolio covering the entire analogue signal chain”. The joint development support provided to our customers has already proved very successful, and we have substantially increased our sales. In reorganizing our distribution business, we have made the decision to commit even more strongly to our partnership with Rutronik.”
The Intersil Analogue & Mixed Signal portfolio focused on application-specific (ASSP) and standard products for a wide range of applications together with its Power Management components in the low voltage range are an ideal fit with the Rutronik Analogue portfolio. Moreover, Intersil products offer unique selling points: Thanks to its differentiated production strategy, the company’s high-speed and high-precision components incorporate extremely high levels of innovation. Its key target markets are mainly in industrial applications, communications, computing and the consumer sector. “With Intersil we are not only offering our customers high-end alternatives to the few high-performance Analogue and Mixed Signal vendors on the market. Intersil is also a partner whose product strategy delivers even more system know-how to the user market than other Analogue broadliners”, comments Markus Krieg, Rutronik’s Managing Director Marketing. “That is why we are confident of being able to achieve significant growth in the business and continually add market share.”

Worldwide Strategic Engagement Offers World-Class Technical Support for Designers Using Intersil’s Innovative Analog, Mixed Signal and Power Products
Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ Global Select: ISIL) today announced it has strengthened its global distribution agreement with Avnet Memec, a division of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT). Intersil and Avnet Memec will work closely together to increase demand for Intersil’s analog, mixed signal and power ICs. Intersil cited Avnet Memec’s world-class technical resources, logistics, supply chain management and customer support, which are highly complementary to Intersil’s channel strategy, as reasons why it has extended this agreement globally.
“Avnet Memec provides highly focused demand-creation that delivers excellent product and technical support to electronics customers worldwide,” said David Loftus, Intersil Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Corporate Marketing. “Avnet Memec delivers seamless support of design chain and supply chain services globally, and their technical teams deliver exceptional support during design-in. We believe this agreement aligns very well with our highly-differentiated, industry-leading analog and mixed-signal solutions.”
“As our mutual customers continue to do business around the world, the ability to fully service their needs is crucial,” said Harley Feldberg, president of Avnet Electronics Marketing. “This relationship enables Avnet to integrate Intersil’s unique product portfolio into our existing design chain services – strengthening our offering to a global network of customers.”
Following the September 2010 pan-European agreement between the two companies, Avnet Memec is now a key distribution partner for Intersil in EMEA. This move builds upon the North American momentum generated during the 2007 transition of Intersil from the broadline Avnet division to the more specialized Avnet Memec divison. Avnet Memec also supports Intersil in China, Japan and the Asia Pacific markets. These recent expansions have made Intersil one of the leading analog lines for Avnet Memec globally.

Anglia collects Intersil Partner award
Anglia Components today announced that it has been named the Intersil ‘Best Distribution Partner’ for Europe in 2009, less than six months after signing the franchise agreement. The award was presented by Robert Pfister, VP of Sales, Europe, at the Intersil Global Conference in California. This is the first time it has been presented since 2006.
The award is due to Anglia’s design and engineering capability, which has led to fast progress in securing design wins, according to Peter Schubert, Director of Sales, Distribution & Horizontal, Europe, at Intersil. He said, “Our goal in appointing Anglia was to add more and deeper technical expertise to our network, and their performance in the first months of our relationship has fully justified their appointment. Their ability to get up to speed with the technology quickly has been extremely impressive, and as a result they have already secured several design-ins with customers that are new to Intersil. In one case, they secured the first design-win globally for a new line of Intersil products.” Schubert continued, “Anglia has invested strongly in the Intersil line and the relationship is working well at every level.”
Steve Rawlins, Anglia CEO responded, “Intersil is a world leader in analog and power IC solutions and has a reputation for delivering innovative solutions that solve real challenges for our customers. We are excited about the opportunity that the line offers, and appreciate the very strong commitment that they have made to get our relationship of to a strong start. We are especially delighted that they already feel so positively about Anglia and our work with them. Joel Munday and the team are to be congratulated on their hard work, effort and enthusiasm.”
Announced in June 2009, the agreement allows Anglia to sell and support Intersil’s entire portfolio of standard analog ICs across the UK and Ireland. Intersil offers Anglia’s customers a complete portfolio of analog ICs, from building block devices to high precision solutions for use in industrial, instrumentation and medical applications.
